Safety + trust

Get help with a safety issue

If there is immediate danger, prioritize getting to a safe place and contacting emergency services. Local Host support is for platform and event follow-up, not emergency response.

California-focused guidance. This page is designed to make Local Host expectations clear. It is general information, not individualized legal, insurance or medical advice. For an emergency, call 911.

Move to safety first

Leave the immediate area when you reasonably can. For an emergency or imminent threat, call 911. If the venue has staff or security, notify them.

Tell the right person

For a venue issue, contact venue staff. For a host issue, use Report a Host. For a Local Host listing or booking issue, contact Local Host support.

Save useful details

When it is safe to do so, keep the event name, date, messages, receipts and a factual description of what happened. Do not put yourself at risk to collect evidence.
