If the event is canceled
Where Local Host or a host is acting as the ticket seller, California Business and Professions Code section 22507 generally requires the ticket price for a canceled event to be fully refunded within 30 calendar days of cancellation.
If the event is postponed or rescheduled
California law generally requires a full ticket-price refund upon request within 30 calendar days of the refund request for a postponed or rescheduled event covered by section 22507.
If you cannot attend
For a live event that is still happening as listed, the host's disclosed attendee-cancellation terms apply unless a law gives you greater rights. Free RSVPs can be released without a payment refund.
How Local Host should show it
The event page should state the cancellation terms before checkout. A host cannot use a Local Host policy to waive rights that California law gives the purchaser.
